Saturday April 3, 2010 – The Wall.
The first beach cleanup in the NH Surfrider ‘Summer Series’ saw a record 55 volunteers remove over 560 pounds of trash from North Beach, Hampton. Both record numbers for a NH Surfrider cleanup.
Emily and Sarah (pictured at the tent), members of NH Chapter of Surfrider Foundation, managed the cleanup all morning; signing in volunteers, supplying gloves and bags, and weighing the trash as it was removed from the beach.
Thank you to everyone who helped at the cleanup.
The Summer Series is sponsored by Cinnamon Rainbows Surf Shop and Ocean Minded. Volunteers at any of the four Summer beach cleanups can enter the free raffle to win a surfboard donated by Cinnamon Rainbows. The draw, including prizes from Ocean Minded and Surfrider Foundation, takes place after the cleanup on August 7. For details of beach cleanup dates and more about NH Surfrider, see this post
Next beach cleanup is on May 9 at 1pm in Seabrook. Meet at Zapstix. More….
